This year we are celebrating the 100th birthday of the Eleven Dot Angels, which also include the masterful Gold Edition.

Our Angel has a choice of two different colored instruments – each designed to coordinate with the color of its hair, blond or dark.

The Angel with Shawm is joining in 2015 the large orchestra of the world-famous Angel Musicians. This angel has also been chosen for a lovingly created 32-page book to answer the question of how the Wendt & Kühn Angel Musicians came to get their legendary eleven white dots.

In 2017 the Angel with Contrabass Clarinet has been awarded a permanent place in the large Grünhainichen Orchestra. The warm tones of this instrument enrich the sound of any ensemble, whether in classical pieces, jazz or folk music.

The brief description of the instrument played by the 2018 Grünhainichen Angel® is that it has just three strings and a triangular-shaped hollow body.

The concertina is sometimes called the “cousin of the accordion”.

A double musical delight: Since concertinas come in a range of different colors, our Angel has a choice of two different colored instruments – each designed to coordinate with the color of its hair, blond or dark.

Twice the sound: Designed to coordinate with either the blonde or dark hair of the angel, the musicians with their green wings and eleven white dots carry a two-tone block in one of two different color variants.

Ever since its publication in autumn 2015, the German edition of the lovingly designed book “How the Angel Got His Eleven Dots” has delighted readers of all ages. Since August 2016, English-speaking fans of Wendt & Kühn, too, can immerse themselves in the story of the small shawm player.

The musicians of the Grünhainichen angel orchestra are well known throughout the world. They capture hearts away from the big stage, too. They work their magic in wide-ranging roles and are faithful companions the whole year round. Just like this angel carefully carrying a wreath decorated with white candles and delicate flowers. Since May 2016, it has the role of spreading joy in your own home, or as a gift bringing pleasure to a loved one. For a birthday or any other special occasion.

Whether you want to convey birthday greetings or wishes for a speedy recovery, to say thank you or simply to give someone pleasure – no occasion is too small for this Angel with Basket of Flowers and Bird. It makes itself at home with the recipient right away and will long remain a memento of that happy occasion.

The Angel holds the wooden box on its lap as if it were treasure. In it are stored the Angel’s favorite toys: a house with a red roof, a well-grown tree and a small wooden horse with even smaller ears. This scene reminds us of the world-famous wooden toys from the Erzgebirge that still today bring happiness to children all around the world. These are usually packed in a wooden splinter box. This story is recounted by the fivecentimeter high Grünhainichen Angel®, bringing to life the toy-making tradition of the Erzgebirge. The tiny horse, house and tree are only a few millimeters high, but this makes the joy they spread with their charm all the greater.

In 2019, our Grünhainichen Angel® aims to fly high. At least this is certainly what the balloon in its hands suggests. The first balloons made of rubber were manufactured in London in 1824 – nearly 200 years on, our angel is delighted with its wooden one made in Grünhainichen. In brilliant red and decorated with a delicate bow, the balloon dances merrily in the air. To the delight of all those who remain a child at heart and who are only too happy to be infected by the angel’s cheer and light-heatedness.

Settled down comfortably on a bench, the small angel takes its violin and with a joyous expression starts to play a beautiful serenade, straight from the heart. But it is in no way inferior to its bigger relatives in the Angel Orchestra. This small heavenly messenger brings felicitations, thanks and solace with its tender tune, and also speaks of great love – a wonderful little gift for a loved one.
